ACA - SA March Update
An update on all things ACA – SA.
Following our recent submission to CEO Michael Deegan, we were invited to a briefing session with Mr Deegan on the changes to DPTI. We understand all the General Managers are either appointed or will be within the next few days, and we will talk to them further about our views on procurement.
David Kilpatrick has agreed to coordinate a group looking at improving the prequalification process and documentation – please contact him at firstname.lastname@example.org

Our first roundtable this year will be on Wednesday 29 April at 4.30pm – at Brown Falconer, Chesser St Adelaide. We will canvas ideas on the structure and progress of our research grant awarded by the Architectural Practice Board of SA on the changing state of the Architectural Profession in SA.

SA will host a national webinar at lunchtime on Wednesday 6 May at Brown Falconer’s office, Chesser St, Adelaide. Speakers will include Steve Lewis from Minter Ellison and Cos Cirocco from Planned Cover. Booking will be via the national webinar system – details to come.
Practice Administrators Group
With the appointment of Sascha Byrne as Exec Officer for ACA – SA we intend to hold further lunches for those involved in practice administration. The first meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 25 March – contact Sascha on email@example.com for details.
Build SA – BIM
BuildSA will be a series of seminars run throughout 2015, with a focus on bridging the gap between what BIM promises and how it is actually delivered on projects in South Australia.
BuildSA will give industry leading and proven workflow solutions for anyone interested in getting the most out of BIM on projects in Adelaide. It will concentrate on collaboration rather than specific software and is for all sectors of the industry.
John Held is ACA – SA President.
