CPD now Compulsory in Victoria

13 August 2015

The Architects Registration Board of Victoria advises that continuing professional development is now compulsory in Victoria.

Practising architects in Victoria must now log a minimum of 20 hours of CPD per registration year – 10 formal and 10 informal hours.

Evidence of an architect’s CPD activities needs to be recorded by 30 June 2016 – this can be logged through the ARBV website. The ARBV has developed a step-by-step PDF guide to lead architects through the process of complying with the new regulations.

The ARBV has also published a series of FAQ's on its website, while relevant information from the Architects Act, incuding definitions of formal and informal CPD is available on the the CPD page of ARBV website.

The ACA encourages Victorian architects to participate in ACA Insight, the national webinar series, as part of their program of CPD activities.
