State of Australian Cities

The federal Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development has released its fourth State of Australian Cities report.

Compiled by the Major Cities Unit the report aims to provide an evidence base for “policy and investment decisions in our major cities, to explore trends in urban development and to inform people about the factors that are shaping our cities and the lives of their communities.” Chapters cover Population and Settlement, Productivity, Sustainability, Liveability and Governance. The report also includes interactive maps, which are also available as PDFs
