2024 Architects Award Pay Rates
The 2024 Federal Industrial Award pay rates have been updated and are applicable from 1 July 2024. Additional changes were also made to some entry level positions, which are in place from 1 January 2025. ACA members can log in to access award pay rates relevant to architectural practice today!
The new award rates incorporate the minimum wage decision handed down by the Fair Work Commission in early June 2024. This year, modern award rates have increased by 3.75%.
New Award pay rates for the Architects Award, the Clerks Award, Graphics Award, Manufacturing Award and Miscellaneous Award are valid from 1 July 2024. These are minimum rates required to meet your practice’s obligations under the relevant Award and the National Employment Standards.
Note: These pay rates also incorporate a Fair Work Commission decision related to C14 and C13 classifications (minimum rates for Students over 21 years of age). These new rates are applicable from 1 January 2025. For more information about this decision, see the relevant article.
The rates of pay in the wage sheets are gross (ie before tax) amounts. Every employee will have their own specific tax circumstances, which may lead to different net pay, including the hours worked and other specific factors (eg a HECS or HELP debt, non-citizen etc).
