ACA Announces New Partnership with BEC
The ACA is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Built Environment Channel (BEC), a free digital screen network available to practices big and small.
News of the ACA Business Toolbox, initiatives, events and advocacy will now be beamed directly into built environment practices around Australia, including architecture and landscape architecture firms, urban designers, property developers and construction companies.
The BEC delivers a central industry news feed through its slimline high-definition screens, which provide rolling updates of government body news, architecture and built environment issues, and local and global project inspiration. But practices can also put the channel to work sharing their own internal content with their teams, clients and other visitors to their practice – at no cost.
Part of the BEC’s remit is the creation of the BEC Build Forward Fund, which is projected to deliver more than $5 million over the first 10 years. It is anticipated that the Fund will invest directly in initiatives that benefit the built environment and those who design it. The Fund will consider applications from industry partners and participating practices seeking to manage and deliver initiatives to benefit the built environment. Applications for funding will be considered three times a year by the BEC Industry Advisory Panel. Other than the ACA, industry partners include the Architects Registration Boards of NSW and Victoria, the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects, the Planning Institute of Australia, Parlour and Architeam.
