ACA WA seeks new Executive Officer
The Association of Consulting Architects WA is seeking a dynamic Executive Officer to join our team. This flexible role (approximately one day per week) is perfect for administrative professionals with event coordination experience who want to engage with Western Australia’s architectural community.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Work primarily from home around your existing commitments while collaborating with our dedicated WA committee of representatives from small, medium and large architecture practices, plus our close-knit national team.
Meeting & Administration
- Prepare Committee meeting agendas and minutes
- Coordinate Committee meetings including calendar invites and venue arrangements
- Participate in monthly Executive Officer meetings and others as required
- Assist State Treasurer with annual budget preparation and financial queries
Event Management
- Manage a calendar of events including an annual breakfast, EOFY lunch, end-of-year drinks, and Business of Small Practice (BoSP)
- Handle venue coordination, budget preparation, photographer bookings
- Ensure sponsors and VIPs receive invitations
- Prepare speech notes for events
Communication & Marketing
- Create marketing collateral for WA events and activities
- Prepare WA updates for the national newsletter in collaboration with Branch President and Editorial team
- Maintain database of VIPs and industry connections
- Welcome all new WA members to the organisation
- Answer WA member inquiries promptly and professionally
Industry Engagement
- Act as a conduit between WA membership and committee
- Assist with membership renewals and inquiries as needed
- Support the committee in building connections with industry and related professions
- Maintain awareness of general industry trends and activities
