ACA - WA the end of a busy year
ACA – WA has celebrated the end of a busy year, and there are many plans for the coming year.
The ACA – WA Committee and members enjoyed an evening of drinks and canapés on the rooftop of the award-winning Alex Hotel, designed by Fremantle-based practice Spaceagency. The venue provided an impressive view across Perth’s evolving CBD.
In his speech, President Kieran Wong acknowledged the many achievements of the ACA this year, both at a state and national level, and acknowledged the contribution of the WA Committee’s three retiring members – Greg Howlett, Peter Hodge and Dean Woods. Collectively, the three men provided decades of wisdom and were key to the ACA’s growth in WA.
2018 is shaping up to be a busy year, with a program of events that includes an exciting forum that will pair established architects with emerging practitioners. With the appointments of Michael Gay and Kate Fitzgerald to our committee, we are increasing our focus on attracting a diverse range of practices to our membership.
We are continuing to seek feedback regarding our programming, and are still keen to hear what topics are of particular interest to our members. Please don’t hesitate to get in contact with us!
