AMWF – Technology & Wellbeing

13 March 2024 - Updated: 18 April 2024

Technology helps with speed and efficiency but it can also create increased stress and information overload. Our first national AMWF event for 2024 covered the extremely timely topic of Technology and its connection to mental wellbeing. Watch this webinar to hear advice from our panel of practitioners and HR experts on making the most of technology without becoming a slave to it. Originally held 11 April 2024.

In this recording, Brian Clohessy (Head of People & Character, BVN), Jean Graham (Director, Winter Architecture) and Merilyn Speiser (Director, Catalina Consultants) bring their wealth of experience and knowledge to the panel discussion. Topics discussed include the right to disconnect legislation, how to use technology effectively in practice, how to structure meetings for best effect, and how to manage remote working.

Jean Graham is Founding Director of Winter Architecture, a Fitzroy and Torquay based collective of skilled architects and interior designers who have been crafting subtle and refined work for their clients since 2016.  Winter Architecture’s  portfolio of residential and commercial projects spans scales, budgets and briefs with a consistent approach, led by a guiding belief that design, practice and building should aspire for simplicity and quality. This is achieved by working closely and sensitively with clients to realise their ambition through a clear and comprehensive process.

Brian Clohessy is Head of People and Character at BVN. Working with people and driving change within large architectural practices has led to his holistic approach to leadership, fostering a caring and supportive culture at BVN, one where everyone has a sense of purpose and place. Brian has a special focus on mental wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, learning and development and people retention.

Merilyn Speiser is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Catalina Consultants, which is the ACA’s HR advisory service for members.
