SA Event: Partial Services & Novation28 March 2019
On 3 April in Adelaide, join informed by Planned Cover to investigate how partial services and novation affect the architect's role, liability and risk. ACA members receive a discount on these events.
Consultants on commercial and government projects are often engaged for less than the traditional scope of service from design development through to completion. After novation, the consultants’ role can be very limited and, on partial services projects, completely non-existent. And yet, if something goes wrong, there is every chance that consultants will be drawn into the dispute.
Join us to discuss how the consultant’s traditional role is evolving, and what this means for you. informed Risk Manager Wendy Poulton will look at some of the key challenges. How do partial services and novation affect your role, liability and risk? How can you define and communicate your scope of services so as to avoid liability for problems that were outside your control? How do you work within your limited role to achieve better project outcomes?
