Blue Mountains RAA event – Peripheral
The Regional Architecture Association’s next multi-day event will be held 19–21 September in the beautiful Blue Mountains. Activities will include an art gallery visit, site and factory tour, and a diverse group of speakers from art and architecture. ACA members are eligible for a 15% discount.
The Peripheral event will explore what is happening at the edges of architecture that is shaping and influencing the way we experience place. Join this Regional Architecture Association (RAA) event for a varied program of activities including diverse speakers, an art gallery visit, site and factory tours plus the community and connection that are part and parcel of these weekend events.
Creative directors Andrew Elia and Tahlia Garland of IDG Architects have curated a diverse group of speakers from the fields of art and architecture to explore the edges of their creative process. For the full program and to book, visit the Peripheral event page.
Fringe events will begin on Thursday 19 September with a furniture-making workshop at Natural Brick’s Warrangamba factory en route to the Blue Mountains, allowing delegates to learn about the process of custom casting. Later in the afternoon, a Welcome to Country and Yarning with Aunty Joy will be held in Katoomba, followed by dinner at Mountain Culture Katoomba, allowing delegates to connect ahead of the main day of speakers.
