On 14 December 2023, the Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Closing Loopholes) Act 2023 received royal assent. This is the first part of the Federal Government’s proposed Closing Loopholes legislation, and introduces changes around wage theft, union delegate rights and anti-discrimination laws, as well as bringing in “same job, same pay” regulated labour hire arrangements.
