First Nations History in WA

4 October 2022

ACA WA invites all members to attend a very special presentation by Scott Patterson, Director at Ochre Project Services.

Scott Patterson’s online presentation will provide valuable insights into First Nations history in WA since British colonisation. Scott’s heritage is Yawuru (Broome) and Nyinkina (East Derby) and his presentation will be deeply personal, drawing on family stories to describe Western impact on Aboriginal culture over the last 200 years.

The ACA is presenting this topic as part of our ongoing commitment towards a reconciled Australia. This presentation will help our members:

  • Better understand the complexities of First Nations history in Western Australia
  • Create workplaces where First Nations people feel welcome and valued
  • Include First Nations voices in our projects in a meaningful way
  • Provide resources for ACA members to improve business and project outcomes

Attendees are entitled to one Core CPD Point following the event and completion of a series of questions provided after the event.
