Join the ACA – QLD/NT on 19 February for a site tour and presentation at the new Howard Smith Wharves development.
Brisbane’s newest entertainment and lifestyle destination is the perfect location as we celebrate our past and future.
Howard Smith Wharves is a development that has embraced the heritage-listed buildings, undergoing rigorous restoration from its former dormant state to become the vibrant precinct of hospitality, tourism and event spaces for the community. The Qld/NT branch’s first event for the year will feature a tour of the precinct followed by presentations from Mark Damant of Woods Bagot and Timothy Ferguson of Hutchinson Builders. Michael Kennedy of Kennedy’s Timbers will also talk about the restoration of the timber and its repurposing.
We will also recognise the achievements of our next generation of leaders in architecture. If you have any architects who became registered in 2018, we encourage you to bring them along so we can celebrate this milestone with them.
