Insurance and PI Claims

2 October 2023

PI Insurance is a significant cost in a practice’s budget, so keeping informed on current issues is vital. To learn more, view this recorded CPD webinar covering the Professional Indemnity insurance market, examples of current PI Claims in practice, and top tips on avoiding unnecessary claims and managing risk. Originally held 27 September 2023.

Planned Cover’s Cos Cirocco presents an update of the insurance industry in Australia, including the flow on effect of both an unstable world political climate, and the close focus on building reform and impacts on policy costs and securing underwriters. National Claims Manager, Adele Monaco then examines professional indemnity insurance claim case studies in detail. These examples involve projects where the builders have become insolvent and highlight the errors made (how the negligence claim came about), the impact (who was affected) and the eventual outcome and resolution.

This webinar provides valuable insights into how a negligence claim can impact your practice and have the potential to turn into costly and lengthy claims.
