Each ACA member practice has the opportunity to access legal advice from a senior member of the Moray & Agnew team – for a maximum of 20 minutes in each calendar year per area of law.

If ACA members wish to have legal advice over and above the annual limits, they may engage Moray & Agnew at hourly rates agreed with the individual ACA member.

Building and Construction

With a team of lawyers that includes qualified and industry-experienced civil engineers, a registered architect and a number of registered adjudicators, Moray & Agnew regularly act for construction professionals including architects, principals, contractors, sub-contractors and developers in front-end advisory services, security of payment legislation and litigation and dispute resolution.

Christopher Larcos, Special Counsel

Christopher is a registered architect with over 20 years’ experience and an adjudicator who spent a decade as a front-end construction lawyer at King and Wood Mallesons and Allens Linklaters.

Property

Moray & Agnew advises clients on a wide range of matters involving residential and commercial developments, strata and community title developments, conveyancing and associated finance, land subdivisions, easements, restrictions on use and retail and commercial leasing. Fiona is a senior property and commercial lawyer with significant experience in NSW and Queensland, having worked in top-tier private practice and as General Counsel for a major property development company.

Planning and Environment

Moray & Agnew has significant experience advising clients in relation to issues under the Local Government Act 1993 and the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, including development applications and planning appeals, heritage issues, environment protection licenses, industrial pollution and land contamination issues, compliance, environmental investigations, offences and prosecutions, and waste management issues. We also represent clients in disputes across the various classes of the NSW Land and Environment Court.

Jim Griffiths, Partner

Jim specialises in property development and commercial law, planning and environmental law, and has a highly-specialised knowledge of strata and community title development.

Workplace

Moray & Agnew works closely with employers seeking to maximise workplace productivity and minimise risks. The team recognises the many ways in which employment law, work health and safety law, and industrial relations can often overlap, and the flow-on effects of interactions in the causes and solutions to many human resources issues. Moray & Agnew provides advice and legal representation in relation to all workplace law issues including dismissals and redundancies, workplace health and safety, discrimination, workplace surveillance, employment contracts and developments in employment law that will affect ACA members’ business.

Elizabeth Radley, Partner

For more than fifteen years, Elizabeth has specialised in all aspects of employment law, industrial relations, work health and safety and anti-discrimination. She works closely with her clients to manage workplace performance issues, disciplinary procedures and termination of employment, and conducts workplace investigations in response to employee complaints and grievances.
