Our Speaker – Jorgen Gullestrup

Jorgen Gullestrup is the Chair, Workplace Health and Safety Queensland, Council Member, Queensland Mental Health Commission Advisory, Panel Member, Tripartite Procurement Advisory Panel, Department of Energy and Public Works (Queensland) and CEO, Mental Health Lived Experience Peak Queensland.
With 14 years of experience in workplace mental health and suicide prevention, Jorgen Gullestrup works from a lived experience framework. Jorgen’s career has taken him from the tools to an industry leader. In 2007 Jorgen led the development of the MATES in Construction program, a program now implemented nationally in Australia and New Zealand. Jorgen holds a Masters in Suicidology, a Diploma in Community and Social Development, an Associate Diploma in Labour Studies. He is currently a confirmed PhD candidate at Deakin University researching the impact of Male help offering in suicide prevention.
