Sydney Launch of Updated Agreement

8 May 2019

Join the ACA – NSW/ACT Committee and Christopher Larcos on 5 June for the launch of the second edition of the Short Form Architect Client Agreement.

The agreement has been available to ACA members for the past two years and, in that time, there have been various comments and suggestions as to how it can be improved. In addition, there have been some changes to legislation and developments in case law that have an impact on such agreements.
At the launch of the revised edition, Christopher will discuss the improvements to the agreement, including:

  • how the Cost of Works is assessed
  • events that give rise to a deemed variation
  • how percentage fees will be dealt with if there is a change in the Cost of Works
  • how the architect’s intellectual property rights have been strengthened

Our speaker – Christopher Larcos
