After a decade of service to ACA – Queensland, Mark Trotter is retiring from the newly merged Qld/NT branch committee. Mark’s contribution was recognised recently at a dinner with current and past committee members who expressed their gratitude for his service at both a state and national level.

Motivated by previous Queensland President Graham Hobbs’ paper “A Case For Action”, in 2011 Mark convinced the National Executive to undertake a strategic planning process. This ultimately redefined the ACA and set it on its present trajectory of growth and industry prominence.

Mark joined the Queensland branch committee in 2004 and served as branch President from 2010 to 2012, serving concurrently on the ACA National Executive Committee.

His passion for bringing people together to celebrate architecture and architectural practice resulted in the active events program that ACA Queensland members have enjoyed for many years.

His energy, enthusiasm and influence will be missed and we wish him every future success.
