The Report

In 2017, the Building Ministers’ Forum (BMF) asked Professor Peter Shergold and Ms Bronwyn Weir to assess the effectiveness of compliance and enforcement systems for the building and construction industry across Australia. The Building Confidence Report (also known as the Shergold-Weir Report) was released in February 2018. It includes 24 recommendations to address the effectiveness of the compliance and enforcement systems for the industry. To gain maximum benefit from this event, we recommend you review the report prior to the event.
