The Business of Small Practice Forum

16 July 2018

The ACA – WA is excited to announce the first event in a new series curated specifically for small business.

The Business of Small Practice forum aims to give insight and tools to assist architects in starting, running and growing their small practices in a transitioning economy.

To kick off the series, ACA – WA has invited a group of people to share their experience, growing pains and advice for staying small and profitable.

Monique Woodward from WOWOWA in Melbourne is our first keynote, and will share her experience of building a practice that remains compact in size but works successfully across residential and public architecture. She will be joined by a small panel of West Australian architects and experts who will discuss their approach to running sustainable small businesses.

Speakers
  • Keynote: Monique Woodward (WOWOWA)
  • Business expert: Shelley Walsh (A Little Ray of Sunshine)
  • Case Study #1: Kukame McKenzie (Gresley Abas)
  • Case Study #2: Sally Weerts, Mitch Hill and Amy McDonnell (Arcadia Design Studio)

Join us if you want to talk about alternative business models; diversifying from single residential work; growth, collaboration and contribution!
