VITAL: Questions of Resilience

The Regional Architects Association (RAA) is offering ACA members a discount for its upcoming event, VITAL: Questions of Resilience, in Dungog Worimi/Gringai Country in the NSW Hunter Region. The main seminar day is on Friday 20 June with fringe events available on the Thursday and Saturday.

Creative directors Janne Ryan (Ideas curator) and Peter Salhani (Architecture journalist) will consider regional renewal through the lens of architecture and its role in galvanising our communities into the future. They have cast a broad net in bringing ideas and speakers together that have direct connections to this place, and are tapped into wider networks and projects of social and economic change. You’ll hear not just from architects but from thinkers and activists working for a more sustainable construction economy at the supply chain level.

A fringe program of optional events will be provided on the Thursday and Saturday, offering the opportunity to engage with the local area in a fun and relaxing way.

In the lead up to VITAL, RAA will also hold two online events to introduce the themes being explored and set the scene for the in-person experience. See RAA website for more information on speakers and themes.
