The QLD/NT Committee thanks their outgoing members and introduces four new members – Ben Madden, Mark Kennedy, Justine Ebzery and Adam Perrier. Welcome to all!

Farewell and thanks!

Our outgoing Committee members are Carl Brooks, David Frost, Kerri May and Robert Wesener. They have all been instrumental in guiding the direction of the ACA QLD/NT branch through their commitment over many years. We thank them all very much for their important contribution.

Welcome!

We would like to introduce our new QLD/NT Committee members.

BEN MADDEN

Ben Madden is a Senior Associate at Cottee Parker Architects’ Brisbane studio, specialising in retail and commercial projects. Ben has been part of the Cottee Parker team for six years and is a shareholder in the business. Prior to this, Ben worked in small practice for 11 years on a diverse range of projects.

MARK KENNEDY

Mark is co-founder and director of Townsville-based firm Counterpoint Architecture. He is a design-focused architect with close to 20 years experience across a range of project types and scales including education, commercial, public and residential architecture. A passionate advocate for regional architecture and placemaking, Mark has jointly initiated a number of community projects to help activate his region and volunteers his time on Townsville City Council’s Placemaking Advisory Committee.

JUSTINE EBZERY

Justine is a Director at Fulton Trotter Architects, and has contributed to numerous significant healthcare, education and aged care projects for private, institutional and government clients. In the past, Justine worked with the Queensland Government’s Project Services for eight years on major government infrastructure projects.

Justine is passionate about building and nurturing productive relationships. She is a rigorous and thoughtful designer, devoted to creating environments that improve the everyday lives of their users and the wider community. Justine’s warm and intuitive communication style is an asset in driving the internal management of FTA’s offices. Her ability to listen to all members of the team and apply their feedback to improve internal systems and processes makes her an integral part of the practice.

Justine is also the Facilitator of the Architects Mental Wellbeing Forum Qld/NT.

ADAM PERRIER

Adam is the sole Director and architect for Bloc Design, a well-established practice in Hervey Bay. He has almost 30 years’ experience, nationally and internationally, in a wide variety of sectors. He has a very diverse background across a range of architectural projects, from satellite communication centres to waterparks, education, commercial, health, industrial and multi-Residential. Adam is currently restoring two heritage churches and converting them to his primary residence and office.
