Combined Insurance for ACA Members
The ACA, in partnership with specialist broker Coverforce, is pleased to introduce a new combined Professional Indemnity (PI) and General Liability (GL) insurance initiative, designed to provide eligible member practices with a more consistent, transparent and sustainable approach to insurance.
Developed in response to member feedback, this initiative establishes defined eligibility criteria, revenue bands, and risk settings – including ACA membership – to support lower-risk practices and reduce exposure to the pricing volatility common in the insurance market.
A TAILORED, TWO-TIER APPROACH
The Combined PI & GL policy is structured across two tiers to better reflect the diversity of practice sizes:
1. Practices with turnover under $1 million
- Access to a group scheme
- Designed for smaller, lower-risk practices
- Enables more stable and appropriately priced coverage through a shared risk pool
2. Practices with turnover above $1 million
- Access to competitive, individually brokered policies
- Maintains flexibility while benefiting from ACA-aligned underwriting and broker support
WHAT THE POLICY COVERS
Professional Indemnity Insurance
Responds to claims alleging professional negligence, errors or omissions in the provision of architectural services.
Public Liability Insurance
Responds to third-party personal injury or property damage arising from business activities.
KEY BENEFITS OF THIS COMPREHENSIVE OFFER
Pricing that better reflects your practice
Pricing is structured around defined revenue bands and eligibility criteria, ensuring lower-risk, smaller practices, representing most ACA members, are not disproportionately impacted by higher-risk activities elsewhere in the market.
A more coordinated insurance approach
By bringing Professional Indemnity and General Liability together under a single, structured framework, the policy is designed to reduce gaps, overlaps and complexity in coverage.
Special rates for ACA members
Members may also access a range of additional insurance options arranged through Coverforce, including Cyber & Privacy, Management Liability and office-related covers, supporting a more holistic approach to risk management.
A framework designed for long-term sustainability
The policy structure creates a clear and transparent risk profile informed by practice size, scope of services, and participation in the ACA. This supports insurer confidence and helps maintain consistency in terms and pricing as the initiative matures.
Recognition of professional standards and accountability
Eligibility is tied to ACA membership, recognising participation in a credible professional body that supports professional practice, advocacy, and industry engagement, which helps build a more transparent and disciplined risk pool.
Specialist support through the ACA’s preferred broker
Members are supported by Coverforce, providing specialist expertise, continuity of advice, and a dedicated point of contact for policy and renewal matters.
