Fees and the Business of Small Practice

Navigating architectural fees is one of the most important – and most challenging – aspects of practice. Join the ACA’s Business of Small Practice (BoSP) forum on Thursday 6 November for a night with the In Detail podcast team, and a timely conversation about fees. Our speakers will share experiences and insights on the key factors shaping how fees can be successfully structured, communicated and managed.
BOOK NOW
The In Detail podcast is the passion project of Kate FitzGerald, Warwick Mihaly and Mick Moloney, three small practice Directors working in Perth, Melbourne and Ballarat. In Detail takes listeners behind the scenes of creative business, revealing the hard-won lessons Mick, Kate and Warwick wish they’d known when they started out.
The trio has tackled the taboo issue of fees in the past on episodes of their podcast and a previous BoSP online discussion on fee variations. They’ve previously received an overwhelming amount of feedback from their listeners about the use of client guides, quantity surveyors and the content of fee proposals. All of this is relevant to the ongoing conversations happening in the BoSP community about fees, budgets and industry price increases.
Enjoy connecting with the BoSP community and see where this fee conversation goes next. If you have any questions you’d like the team to address, send them to victas@aca.org.au. Come prepared to ask questions and share your own experiences – both good and bad – with your fellow BoSPers.
