According to the 2025 ACA Pulse Check survey results, “Many practices are prioritising wellbeing and seeking support – from wellbeing guides (48%), peer forums (40%) and leadership culture for wellbeing (27%).”

This AMWF event asks –

  • What next?
  • How can organisations and their teams be more engaged, productive, high-performing, connected and happy?
  • What practical strategies can studios and workplaces implement?
  • How do we measure culture?
  • And importantly, what role do leaders play in intentionally designing culture, rather than leaving it to chance?

Hear from psychologist Kim Singline about designing workplace culture that supports psychological and psychosocial safety, and enables your team to thrive. Following the presentation Kim will be joined by Adrian Doohan from DesignInc Melbourne, Lynn Chew from Kerstin Thompson Architects, and Richard Bryant from Bryant Alsop Architects) for a panel discussion chaired by Built Environment Channel (BEC) CEO, Sam Matheson.

Victoria’s new Occupational Health and Safety (Psychological Health) Regulations come into effect from 1 December 2025, requiring employers to manage psychosocial hazards in the workplace. Come along to learn from this discussion and help to strengthen your practice’s culture, performance and leadership.

Kim Singline

Kim Singline is the founder of Inner Growth Psychology & Consulting, where she leads both a psychology private practice – working with individuals to support mental health, wellbeing, and resilience – and partners with organisations to enhance leadership effectiveness, team dynamics, and workplace culture.

She is also co-founder of NeuroAmp, which focuses on neuro-inclusion and helps organisations understand and support diverse cognitive styles, moving beyond awareness into practical strategies that allow all minds to thrive. This work shows how inclusive culture and leadership not only improve wellbeing but also drive creativity and performance.

Adrian Doohan, Principal, DesignInc Melbourne

Adrian is passionate about wellbeing in the workplace. At DesignInc Melbourne, he champions the practice’s in-house wellbeing group and, as Managing Director of ArchiSoccer, promotes health and connection across the profession. With more than 25 years’ experience in Australia, Europe and the US, Adrian is an accomplished architect and leader of complex commercial, education and research projects. He is dedicated to advancing architecture through a stronger understanding of environmental performance while ensuring that people’s wellbeing remains central. Known for his collaborative approach, Adrian builds strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, listening closely and problem-solving to deliver designs that enhance both organisational outcomes and the wellbeing of those who use them.

Lynn Chew, Associate Principal, People and Culture, Kerstin Thompson Architects

Lynn joined KTA in 1998 and has over 25 years’ experience delivering projects across retail, residential, public and education sectors. Lynn currently leads KTA Houses and is highly regarded for her detailed design expertise, clear communication and ability to guide projects from concept to completion, producing award-winning outcomes while building strong and lasting relationships with clients and contractors.

As KTA’s longest-serving colleague, Lynn’s generosity of spirit and care is foundational to the studio’s culture. She believes we thrive as communities when we respect diverse perspectives, experiences and skills. Raising a neurodivergent child into adulthood has cultivated her curiosity for learning through observation and listening – developing insights into how thoughts, behaviours, anxieties and societal pressures influence individual and collective wellbeing. This has deepened her understanding of how we all navigate different ways of thinking and strengthened her compassion to support others in ways unique to them.

Since 2023, Lynn has led People and Culture, drawing on her wealth of project experience and first-hand knowledge of KTA’s founding values. She guides the studio with responsibility for team wellbeing, professional development, mentoring and sustaining a positive workplace culture.
