Act now! Help protect the future of architectural registration in Victoria by signing the current Victorian Legislative Assembly petition. Sign it today!

The ACA has been leading advocacy against the proposed abolition of the ARBV and initiated the current Victorian Parliament petition calling for the decision to be reconsidered. This is a critical issue for the profession.

The proposed removal of the ARBV is not a simple administrative restructure. Architectural registration is fundamental to public protection, professional standards and the nationally recognised pathway to becoming an architect. The ARBV is a specialist, self-funded regulator, and there has been little evidence presented that merging it into a broader “super-regulator” will improve safety, consumer outcomes or the quality of the built environment.

The implications extend well beyond Victoria and could set a precedent nationally.

If you are in Victoria, please sign the petition today. If you’re outside Victoria, contact colleagues, clients, friends and professional networks in Victoria and encourage them to add their support. Every signature strengthens the case to preserve independent architectural regulation – and every signature matters.
