Develop the knowledge and confidence to engage respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal people and cultures through the Building Aboriginal Cultural Competency Workshop delivered by the Koorie Heritage Trust. This engaging program provides a deeper understanding of Aboriginal culture, identity and history, including the impact of colonisation and the diversity of Aboriginal communities today. Through practical discussions, real-life insights and lived experiences shared by Aboriginal facilitators, participants gain meaningful perspectives that support stronger relationships in both professional and personal contexts.

Suitable for participants from practices at any stage of their cultural learning journey, the workshop helps attendees build awareness, respect and practical strategies for working more effectively with Aboriginal colleagues, clients and communities. Offered in-person, exclusively for architecture professionals, the workshop presents a welcoming and informative environment that encourages reflection, dialogue and ongoing cultural competency development.
