Managing Non-Compliance

14 October 2015

A product may look, touch and feel right…but does it comply with Australian Standards? Managing non-compliance is a critical issue – in April this year non-compliant cladding installed in a Melbourne apartment tower fuelled a fire.

On Friday, 23 October, Robert Wesener leads a panel discussion – with an architect, a supplier and a builder – on the key issues in avoiding non-compliance.

Issues to be discussed include:

  • Managing your risk
  • Licencing and trade obligations
  • Research and development
  • Product certification
  • Safety and design
  • Who bears the cost and responsibility if a product is installed and is not compliant?
  • Where to from here?
