Early engagement with material suppliers
Are you certain that your specifications are up to date? Are you confident about your supply chain? Do you have strong relationships with your material suppliers? Stratco Architectural Solutions advocates for early engagement on projects to ensure that architects get the direct practical advice they need at the time they need it.
Early engagement with material suppliers ensures that architects get the benefits of practical advice for material availability, constructability, warranty, locally sourced product, and cost estimating. Engaging early helps in understanding the supply chain, ensuring timely availability of materials and components, and preventing potential delays.
Stratco offers further advice on the benefits of early engagement:
Specification writing
We all know Value Engineering is here to stay (and some people have perfected the art); however, you can eliminate a lot of post-tender activity by starting with a well-written specification.
Manufacturers are constantly updating their own literature and specification writing for websites such as Natspec, but the one thing we can’t update is Cut and Paste. Using a Stratco Branded Work Section, arranging a quick meeting during specification writing, or submitting a specification for review, can more easily identify outdated specifications and errors that have crept in over time.
Better coordination among stakeholders
Early involvement with Stratco ensures better coordination among different stakeholders, such as engineers, contractors and fabricators, ensuring a cohesive approach to the project.
Product availability
Choosing products online without any engagement will not catch profile nuance such as available colour palette, gauge thickness, application, pitch, or any number of production limitations. Discussing product availability with a local contact ensures the advice is qualified and appropriate for your project.
Various options for project best solutions
Stratco has capability in all manner of construction. This includes roofing profiles, wall cladding, structural steel, louvres, lightweight framing, pre-engineered patios and sheds, covered walkways, polycarbonate, rainwater goods, sheet metal, laser cutting, fencing, screens, Colorbond, stainless steel, corten, copper, aluminium, Zincalume, Z600 Galvanised, etc.
Having a diverse range of products allows Stratco to provide advice that is best suited for the project, as we often have multiple ways to solve issues.
Technical support
Stratco has technical expertise and inhouse Engineering to ensure both the standard and non-standard requirements can be handled in a professional and timely manner. Early specification and detailing can expedite approval processes and ensure compliance with manufacturing standards and building codes.
Not all equal
When choosing a manufacturer for the building envelope there are a multitude of rollformers in Australia, and most produce their products using Colorbond Steel. This does not make them all equal, however. There is enormous value in seeking out a supplier who can provide sound advice regarding profiles and materials.
