AI for architecture practice

The rapid pace of AI advancement has been a gamechanger for many practices, enhancing both design processes and business operations. It can automate routine tasks, create images and streamline project management and client communication. But what risks exist? What are the pros and cons of employing AI in practice? For answers to critical questions about AI, watch this valuable CPD presentation with Professor M. Hank Haeusler.

While much of the conversation around architecture and AI focuses on generating images through tools like Midjourney or DALL-E, AI can also automate routine tasks like drafting, modelling and analysis. AI can support data-driven design by simulating environmental impacts, optimising layouts, and predicting structural performance, allowing architects to focus more on creativity and innovation.
However, the potential of AI in the business side of architecture is often underappreciated. AI can enhance project management, improve cost estimation, and facilitate better client communication, resulting in more efficient workflows and informed decision-making.
With the rapid pace of AI advancements, staying up-to-date with the latest developments can be difficult. This webinar explores AI’s role in architecture by addressing the following key questions:
- Is there an AI for Architecture?
- What opportunities and risks exists?
- Why should we employ and consider AI?
- What are the risks when we employ AI without ethical considerations?
