For example, in March 2025, the Federal Government announced a $54 million funding package to accelerate the adoption of prefabricated and modular construction methods as part of its commitment to housing in Australia.
This webinar will explore the evolution of modular construction in the sector and the key legal principles and risks in (modular) project procurement. The presentation will consider the contractual structuring of such projects and provide some insight into the pinch points that can arise, from a contractual perspective, including design (and defect) risk in the modular components, intellectual property rights, interface risks, title and risk, contractual delays and more. Understanding these broader issues is valuable, whether you’re providing design services, contract administration or generally involved in a project involving modular components.
