The Queensland / Northern Territory Branch of the ACA led the development of the ACA Salary Survey and the ACA HR Templates, and has a vibrant event calendar across the year. 

ACA National Salary Survey

Conducted bi-annually, the National Salary Survey provides vital industry intelligence and is complemented by analysis and industry commentary.

HR Policy Templates

The HR Policy Templates are an ACA – Qld / NT initiative and are available to all members nationally. The templates consist of the following:

  • Recruitment and Selection Policy
  • Employee Management Policy
  • Code of Conduct Policy
  • Leave Policy

These templates can be easily integrated into practices or adapted to suit specific needs.

Professional Development

ACA – Qld / NT conducts monthly professional development activities including lunch forums on practice-related issues and site tours of exemplar projects. These events also provide attendees with formal and informal CPD points.

Other key activities include the following:

  • Working in conjunction with education providers in response to the trend away from workplace learning in our universities. A curriculum is being prepared to ensure that graduates enter the workforce with appropriate practical skills. Representation on the Australian Construction Industry Forum.  
  • Representing members at, and contributing to, construction industry conferences.  
  • Appointing working parties to address and resolve special ongoing issues.
  • Regular liaison with Practice Managers’ Group and invitation to attend numerous events to further develop a cohesive relationship.
  • Monthly Branch Committee meetings.
